Things to do in Lake Placid.

Hiking trails abound everywhere in and around the village. Some of the favorite shorter hikes are Henry’s woods https://www.lakeplacid.com/hiking/henrys-woods and the Heaven Hill trails https://www.lakeplacid.com/hiking/heaven-hill-trails. There are numerous other longer hikes. There is a scenic elevator ride to the top of the ski jump that is also available and an amazing experience. Chairlift will be open at ski jumps as well. Gondola rides at Whiteface are popular. Incredible views await. There is a beach in the center of Lake Placid on Mirror Lake and a beach in Saranac Lake on Lake Colby.
